Bardejov
Bardejov is an exceptionally well-preserved medieval town in eastern Slovakia whose Gothic main square with Renaissance reliefs and the imposing town hall has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The surrounding area is home to wooden Carpathian churches, also part of the UNESCO heritage, standing in an unspoilt hilly landscape far from any mass tourism. The nearby Bardejovské Kúpele is a peaceful spa resort with historic substance, where even Empress Sisi once came to recuperate.
