Jajce
Located in central Bosnia, roughly halfway between Sarajevo and Banja Luka. Jajce captivates with a natural phenomenon almost unique in the world: right in the middle of the old town, the Pliva Waterfall plunges spectacularly into the depths – a sight that leaves every visitor speechless. The medieval fortress high above the city and the early Christian catacombs bear witness to its eventful history as the former capital of the Bosnian kingdom. The nearby Pliva Lakes with their idyllic watermills invite peaceful walks through a picturesque karst landscape.
