In the southern North Sea off the Lower Saxony coast, The car-free East Frisian island, also called 'Toeverland' (Magic Land), is one of the longest barrier islands in the North Sea at 17 km long and only 500 m wide. Horse-drawn carriages and bicycles replace cars here.
