In the southern North Sea off the East Frisian coast, The car-free East Frisian island is connected from the ferry terminal to the village by an island railway. Langeoog offers 14 km of fine sandy beach, a picturesque water tower as its landmark, and excellent cycling paths through dune landscapes.

Langeoog as a Vacation Destination
Langeoog is an excellent choice for beach holidays, hiking trips. Its coastal location offers direct access to the sea and plenty of water activities. The best time to visit is June, July, August with temperatures up to 22°C.
The center is easily walkable — a car is rarely needed. Pets are welcome here — many accommodations and restaurants are pet-friendly. Tent camping sites are available.
