Nyborg
Nyborg is Denmark's oldest royal residence and houses Nyborg Slot, one of Scandinavia's most significant medieval monuments, where the Danish parliament (Danehof) convened during the Middle Ages. Its position at the mouth of the Great Belt offers spectacular views of the eponymous suspension bridge and the island of Funen with its gentle hills and romantic manor houses. The nearby sandy beaches and the relaxed small-town atmosphere make Nyborg a charming, peaceful counterpoint to the Danish capital.
