Located in the central Adriatic, about 45 km off the Croatian coast. Vis is the farthest inhabited Croatian island from the mainland and was a military zone until 1989. This preserved its original character with excellent wines, the Blue Cave on Bisevo, and an authentic fishing atmosphere.
